Programs offered at Chandler Academy
The Alternative Program at Chandler Academy follows the Kanawha County Schools Programs of Study along with Twenty-first Century Learning: Lexia, Success Maker, and Credit Recovery programs. The program includes basic skills, special education, life and learning skills and instruction and modeling of responsible and acceptable behavior.
Counseling and psychological services are provided, as needed, for all students. Pathways Project Completely free of cost to all students and no medical insurance required Weekly skills groups to all students Partnership between Pathways and KCS allows for communication about the students' needs, goals and barriers that need addressed for success in the classroom. 8-Week intensive therapy program for identified students Weekly group and individual therapy sessions Reward room to promote and recognize positive behavior 2-3 Follow-up sessions once a student returns to their home school
